Fabrication
ThermEx Thermal Maintenance System
This pre-formed bolt-on jacketing design provides significantly more heat capacity than regular tube tracing formed to the shape of the pipe.
The ThermEx element/jacket is molded from carbon steel SA-179 – P235GH Gr.B or alternatively SA-312 grade TP316, 2” O.D. boiler tube and pressure rated according the design standard ASME VIII Division 1, edition 2015 (incl. EU type examination Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU).
During our fabrication processs, the ThermEx heating element is shaped to closely match the pipe surface and maximize the contact area with the pipe or vessel wall. A special conductive heat transfer compound is used during installation of the system to ensure good heat transfer of the system and prevent air gaps. Different types of heat transfer mastic are available for different temperatures ranges and purpose.
During the design/engineering phase, every individual element is designed and the specific length determined. Every element or panel has its own fabrication drawing from which the Fabrication is performed.
The ThermEx bolt-on heating jackets can be supplied in Stainless steel material also for aggressive process environments and or specific performance applications.
The Vermeer Thermex dedicated production location is situated in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and is roughly 2.200 m2 in size. Our production capacity is based on 30.000 man hours on an annual basis. If required we can add additional shifts to suit a specific project planning/delivery.
