Design & Engineering

Based on System Isometric Drawings, Process Information, P&ID’s and 3D-Model, Thermal Analyses are made to determine the required coverage area and quantity of elements required.

During the design/engineering phase, every individual element is designed and the specific length determined. Based on customer preference, inlet and outlet connections are added to enable to transfer the heating medium.

Accurate thermal calculations are executed for steady state cases or transient requirements. Thermal rating/sizing calculations can be complemented using state of the art finite element simulations or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) when required. This advanced modelling will be validated with empirical field data.

For larger areas or surfaces, such as on large diameter pipes or vessels walls, multiple elements can be combined and joined together in a panel configuration. This reduces the amount of inlet and outlet connections.

During project execution we will provide detailed installation drawings, pre-insulated leads & tails, jump-over connections and/or valve jackets for even heat distribution.

The ThermEx bolt-on heating jackets can be supplied in Stainless steel material also for aggressive process environments and or specific performance applications.
