The Thermex (TE) thermal maintenance system is the preferred steam tracing solution compared to a fully jacketed pipe and tube tracing. The system prevents cross-contamination and ensures uniform wall temperature to avoid condensation and corrosion. Applications

Vermeer Thermex International and their European principals, design, manufacture and supply the Thermex Thermal Maintenance System for piping, vessels and storage tanks in order to maintain the required process temperature, enable melt-out requirements or reduce energy loses.

The equipment is designed for a wide range of applications, accommodating piping sizes from 1/2″ to virtually unlimited dimensions. It is suitable for vessels such as degassing units and coolers, as well as drums for knock-out processes. Additionally, the system is capable of handling storage tanks with an outer diameter of up to 35 meters. It is particularly effective in processes requiring heat, including the production of sulfur, bitumen, and various chemicals such as polycarbonates, TDI, MDI, caprolactam, phthalic anhydride, and maleic anhydride. The system also supports specialized processes like delayed decoking, wax production, urea processing, and molecular plastic recycling.

Vessels

The ThermEx Thermal Maintenance System (TE) is used as external heating system on vessels, in cases where contamination from internal coil leaks cannot be tolerated and/or the wall temperature uniformity is critical to prevent condensation and corrosion. The ThermEx Bolt-on heating system offers improved performance over coils or panels and can also be used in addition to internal coils. It provides an even predictable distribution of heat and can be easily customised to accommodate for nozzles in the vessel wall.

Tanks

The ThermEx Thermal Maintenance System (TE) is used as external heating system on Tanks, in cases where contamination from internal coil leaks cannot be tolerated and/or the wall temperature uniformity is critical to prevent condensation and corrosion. The ThermEx Bolt-on heating system offers improved performance over coils or panels and can also be used in addition to internal coils. It provides an even predictable distribution of heat and can be easily customised to accommodate for nozzles in the tank wall.

The ThermEx Bolt-on heating jackets on critical process piping have been the preferred steam tracing solution vs fully jacketed piping and tube tracing.

Typically for critical process temperature maintenance or melt-out requirements, this heating system provides significantly more reliability than traditional tube tracing.
